Update from Connecticut

This is Karla, Luke's mom. Luke and Caleb will be updating the blog themselves the first of next week. They plan to arrive in Vermont on Sunday. I (and hopefully Carl, too, if he can get away from work) are planning to drive up and meet them on Sunday in a little town called Bennington, VT. They will take a zero day on Monday and hang out with us. I can't wait to see them. They've shaved their heads to be cooler but they have their patchy facial hair. They should be quite a site. Luke asked that I let everyone know they are doing well and making good progress. They even took a brief excursion into New York City. There's actually a train station right on the trail at he NY/Connecticut state line where you they caught commuter train that operates on weekends. Mostly it's used by city people that want to come out to enjoy the outdoors on the weekend. Luke and Caleb took the train into the city, arriving in the afternoon and did a walking/hiking tour that afternoon, evening, and all night long and returned to the trail the next morning. They not only survived the city streets but they had a great time and saw a lot. Luke and Caleb can share more details about thier adventures next week. Thanks for following. They cherish the support they are getting from family and friends. Look for more news next week!
