Note to all from Karla Lanier: These pics were really posted by Carl, father of Luke, and known to bloggers as "old hiker" friend. After an overnight stop at G'Beths, a last minute supply stop at the Outfitter Store, and a search of backroads in Georgia to find a place to park Chris's care, the hike officially began at 3pm in 70 degree, sunny, slightly windy beautiful weather. Chris O (Luke can let you know his hiker name in a later post) is doing the first 37.5 miles with Caleb and Luke. Luke and Caleb will most likely update the blog in about four days.
Some of their last words and I (Karla) quote, "Which way do we go?" "We already stink." "I'm so excited!"
